World Drum Night celebrates the local drumming scene with a big bang! This concert scores a first; the percussion groups of all five polytechnics come together for the first time, performing on one stage. The concert opens with a whole new item created by Wicked Aura‟s Idham Budiman and Republic Polytechnic‟s music groups. The concert will feature items from Singapore Polytechnic Daiko Drum, Nanyang Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra‟s percussion ensemble, Nanyang Polytechnic Symphonic Band‟s Percussion Ensemble, Ngee Ann Polytechnic‟s Baracuda Batucada, Republic Polytechnic‟s Beats Encore, Temasek Polytechnic‟s Fusion Percussion and ZingO Festival Drum Group. The concert ends on a high note with the finale item featuring drummers from all performing groups, promising to thrill you with their stunning blend of rhythm, traditional and modern drumming!

This year’s exposition
celebrates individuality and diversity through the theme “Be YOUnique”. In
order to encourage kids to do away with stereotypes and be proud
of what makes them unique, a series of engaging games and activities
have been lined up for the kids who attend. These include a toy-making
workshop, photography workshop and expression of social issues through art by
activity partners such as Ink Fusion, AWARE, and World Toilet Organisation. The
event promises to be a fun-filled one, with exciting and inspiring stories of
change by children.
