Gardens by the Bay to connect to Botanic Gardens and Jurong Lake Gardens in the future!

There may be a new green corridor to connect Singapore's three national gardens in the next few years.

The 11 Km Bukit Timah -Rocher Green Corridor running parallel to the Bukit Timah Canal. will give cyclist and pedestrians a continuous route from Gardens by the Bay to Botanic Gardens and linking up with Jurong Lake Gardens.  This means people in the West can now run or cycle to Central Singapore with ease!

The first phase, a 1.4Km elevated linear park above the canal between Bukit Timah and Dunearn road will begin in 2021 with plans for its extension to Kallang Riverside Park. Kallang Riverside Park is currently connected to Gardens by the Bay through existing park connectors and other paths.
The first phase of the Bukit Timan-Rocher Green Corridor will connect to the rail corridor near the Bukit Timah Railway Station node. The node will feature an orchard with cempedak, brinjal and other fruit trees along with amenities such as toilets, bicycle rack, a heritage gallery that will be house in the conserved railway station that will be restored.

With the completion, it would mean that there will be more spots for families to enjoy. It will be a boon for people staying in the East and West. If you are ambitious, you can even cycle from Changi Airport to Jurong Lake using Park connectors in the future!
